  1. What does the header image convey about your website, and how does this relate to meeting the information needs of your target audience?

My image conveys the idea that my website is my personal website, and the background of the image is the book that represents my educational background. The other two elements of the image are working people and graduating people, which represents that I am ready to go from school to work. I think that would be of interest to my target audience of interested people who are looking at my website and hiring executives. Because this picture already represents that I'm ready to work for them.

  1. Where did you find your source images? How do you know that you are allowed to reuse them?

I found these original images from Google Images, and although they were from different sites, I thought they would help me because they fit my audience and purpose for the site. For example, the background library also fits my background as a student.

  1. Briefly address the production process. How did you make use of image editing techniques described in Manovich's article to create a multi-layer image?

I think my images fit in with what the article says, my website gives new attributes to the images I choose. On the surface, the pictures I chose are just three seemingly unrelated pictures or ICONS of the library, graduates and working people. However, through my website, a website that introduces me to all companies, they can think of me. The author of this website, as a student about to graduate, is ready to enter the society and work.

  1. Compare your production process to that of a single-layer bitmap image of the sort that Davison describes. How is it similar or different?

“Rage Maker is a hybrid between object- and bitmap-based techniques. The interface provides an outer ‘frame’ inside of which users are able to create different individual ‘frame’ objects.”(Davision) Unlike what was introduced in the article, my pictures did not use many painting techniques. The similarity between me and what was introduced in the article is that my pictures were made by editing the pictures I downloaded from the Internet through the drawing software introduced in the similar article, which is similar to Microsoft Painting. The difference is that I use this software to edit the color, transparency, blur and other content, I merge several pictures into one and upload it to my web page, which is not very similar to the drawing process introduced in the article.
